Wyatt Banks is ready to give one woman the world. Unfortunately, his job as a cop tends to interfere with other goals. When Wyatt is sent deep undercover to investigate a sex slave ring, he doesn’t have time to do anything but focus on staying alive in a dark and dangerous underworld.
Wyatt isn’t alone though in his quest to save the women that are being sold into sexual slavery.
His partner, FBI Agent Andrea Somerville, is immersed just as deeply as he is, and she’s the bait to lure the sex slavers out into the open, as she poses as an erotic dancer in an attempt to snare the enemy. But danger runs as high as the sparks between them, and now Wyatt is caught between the job he loves and the woman he wants.

WITH A TWIST can be read as a stand-alone novel.

Review:

Let me start off by saying that the Last Call series is a must read. I try to say away from saying "must read" because it is such a cliche, but I'm telling you-- go read these books. It's no secret I'm a big Sawyer Bennett fan, but bias aside, I always one-click her books whether I've read the synopsis or not-- I just know I'm going to dig in and enjoy every word.

With a Twist is book 4 in the Last Call series and finally gives us more than a glimpse into the life of sexy cop Wyatt Banks. In the first book of the series, On The Rocks, there was just a moment where I thought Wyatt and Casey might have a thing (back in the high school days), but I'm glad Sawyer went in a different direction.

With a Twist starts off with all the regular charcters we have come to know and love in the Last Call series, but transitions into suspense and drama filled situations when Wyatt's job takes him undercover as a strip club manager trying to bust a sex slave ring. This is were the lovely, yet tough as nails, FBI agent Andrea comes into play. She is bait in this operation and Wyatt can't help the attraction she feel towards her--the girl has got wicked pole skills, but it's more than just her dancing that has Wyatt feeling a pull towards her and vice versa.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the situation Wyatt found himself in with this kind of undercover operation, but I was pulled in and couldn't stop reading until I found out what would happen next. The story as a whole isn't like this thought, which I liked. I can handle some suspense and drama, but I was glad to be back in the Outer Banks with the whole gang. I missed Wyatt in Sugar on the Edge (book 3), so it was nice to finally see him get his perfect match this time around. I'm not into spoilers, so I wont say too much, but as I mentioned before, I'm glad the drama wasn't carried out throughout the whole story. I thought it was important for Wyatt to get back to his roots because he is just that kind of guy. Wyatt and Andrea may have developed an attraction and feelings while undercover, but I just knew they needed more time to develop those feelings in a more normal/familiar setting.

Andrea is a great mix of vulnerable and strong, smart, sassy, sexy with a dose of humility. Wyatt is a lot of those things, but he is also a badass. He is loyal, fun and knows how to get down and dirty-- definitely the kind of guy who has your back. The settings from With a Twist really stand out as well. Everything is described in great detail, so it's easy to imagine the crazy places they find themselves in; like the strip club, Andrea/"Nikki O's" run down apartment, Wyatt's Nags Head bungalow, and then later reacquainting the readers with Hunter's bar The Last Call.  With Sawyer Bennett you know you're going to get a bit of everything on that emotional rollercoaster-- a little drama, a little sass, a little sexy time and a whole lotta love... I suggest you all go out and not only read With a Twist, but the whole Last Call series!

Happy Reading,
A
