Together We Heal by Chelsea M. Cameron

TWH Amazon GR SW

Today we are spotlighting the Fall and Rise series by Chelsea M. Cameron and the upcoming 4th book TOGETHER WE HEAL. This book will be released next Tuesday, August 18th. Check out the blurb, and links to the other books in the series, below. There's also a note from Chelsea about the series.

BOOK BLURB:

Trish Grant is not a romantic. Okay, so she may read her share of romance novels, but that doesn’t mean she thinks that some fellow with a six pack is going to ride up on a horse and sweep her (literally) off her feet. Romance like that just isn’t for her. It belongs on the page.

Max Jackson noticed Trish at his cousin’s funeral, of all places. She was hard to miss with her citrus-colored hair, violet contacts and fiery attitude.

Trish was just as captivated by Max. He makes her laugh, which is rare, and it doesn’t hurt that he rocks blue hair and the most killer smirk that drives her crazy. Max is there for her during a rough time and even if she wanted to, she can’t shake him.

There are things about Trish that Max doesn’t know, and she’s not going to tell him. She hasn’t told anyone and doesn’t plan on it, thank you very much. But when Trish’s life is ripped apart by a dark piece of her past, will she let Max in? Or will she give up her potential fairytale to protect her already-scarred heart from further damage?

Author Note from Chelsea M. Cameron:

When I started this series, I’d only written one new adult contemporary book (My Favorite Mistake) and I knew I was hooked on the genre. The idea for the first book came from a question: What if you fell in love with someone you hated? From there the story of Lottie and Zan unfolded. I actually had to stop writing the first book, 40,000 words in and start over. I’d originally written Zan as snarky and loud, but that definitely wasn’t him. His mind was loud, but he was actually pretty quiet otherwise. Once I locked onto his voice, the rest of the book came. I intended it to be one book. No series. But I wanted to know what happened with Katie and Stryker. And Will and Audrey. And Trish and Max. The books took on a life of their own and I was just following along after them, tripping over my feet. This series has meant so much to me. I’ve been working on it for almost three years now and the characters are constantly on my mind.

I knew I was going to love writing Trish’s book the first time I met her. She’s snarky and has no filter and is a bit of a contradiction of a person. Someone who loves romantic books and movies, but doesn’t believe in that kind of love for herself. I knew she would need someone who would challenge her. Who would put up with her. Who would care for her and not let her down. Enter Max. You don’t know a whole lot about him and I did that on purpose. I wanted to reveal him through his interactions with her. I love this book. I really, really do. It’s sweet and heartbreaking and uplifting. Oh, and there’s some sexytimes in there too. I hope you love this book as much as I’ve loved writing it. Thank you so much for your support and love for this series. I couldn’t have done it without you.

Two years after her best friend was involved in a car accident that caused a traumatic brain injury, Lottie Anders is ready to start her freshman year of college. Ready to move on. Zack is cruel, selfish and constantly rubbing what happened to her friend in Lottie's face. Zan is different. He listens to her awkward ramblings. He loves To Kill a Mockingbird as much as she does, and his dark eyes are irresistible. His words are few and far between, but when he does speak, she can't help but listen. The trouble is, Zan was the driver in the accident, and now Lottie's discovered he lied to her about what happened that night. Now she must decide if trusting him again will lead to real forgiveness, or deeper heartache.
